Man, I had to disappoint my sister twice yesterday in regards to her going to see the Hooks last night. First, I had to inform her that Kody Hinze wasn't going to be there. Then she texted me and said there wasn't a little guy playing the in-field and I had to let her know that Jose Altuve was given the night off. But, she's a good sport and still took a ton of pictures and is going to email me them so I can post several on the blog.

That slash line is good for a 1.436 OPS. It's within the last ten games and it's for JD Martinez. That is a serious hot streak as his OPS for the season is .934. A lot of it is thanks to his new found power which is allowing him to destroy the ball. He was ticketed to AA this year to improve his power numbers by adding a little loft to his swing which was delayed by a few nagging injuries, but that's all over now. I'm officially starting to campaign for his promotion to AAA. Mostly because, if he's going to be a September call-up, I want him to have some AAA time.
