Astros Minor League Recap

I'm ready for another wave of promotions!  But, this time I want it to be in the upper levels with guys like JD Martinez, Dallas Keuchel, and Xavier Cedeno getting promoted.  JD is the main one I want promoted so he can get a month and a half of time in AAA before possibly getting a September call-up.  I know this will probably spark more debate about whether he needs it or not, and I'm not saying he does, I'm just saying it will make the transition easier.  His power is showing up and it seems the adjustments in his swing have worked out and have been made.  So, lets see it in AAA.

Keuchel had a bad start last night, but he's still been dominant for awhile.  Cedeno goes tonight, so we'll see if he continues his strong season.  I'm really tired of the AAA rotation with guys like Brad Hennessey getting starts and getting demolished.

I want to mention Jimmy Paredes sudden improvements.  It is exciting but I'm tempering my overall excitement for a larger sample size.  His first three months were all below .700 OPS and now has a 1.142 OPS in the month of July.  If he can keep this up, it will be very exciting for sure.
