Juan Carlos Thompson and Chase Davidson are both on a power surge right now. Thompson hit a bomb Tuesday and had a two HR day just a few days back as well. Davidson has hit three(?) homers in the past two days. I add the question mark because one was inside the park on a fly-ball. He was the lead-off hitter than inning which would allow him to sprint the whole way through but you would still expect in professional baseball, they would have been able to get the ball in.
Either way, I think both of these guys are establishing themselves as legitimate prospects. Davidson struggled with injuries his entire time at Georgia and never really showed his power because of that. I think his total at UGA was eleven and seven were this season with the new bats. He has work to do since we've seen some guys hit in Greeneville, and no where else, but he is worthy of mention. He has the body size and strength to consistently hit for power, so he could be beast.
Thompson is about as raw as they come. He's definitely an older prospect, but he's never had the upper level coaching that any of the other players have had so he probably has a little more time than most. There's loads of talent there and if he can grasp it in a hurry, he could be another in-fielder who can really add to the depth in the system.
