I want to thank everyone who participated in the Minor League Open Thread yesterday, as it was a much bigger success than I expected. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it and hope we'll get the opportunity again on off-days.
Yesterday was a pretty exciting day for the minors, I don't know if that was a coicidence with the open thread or a result. I'm going to go with the latter for now. But, in all honesty, whenever you have a pticher strikeout the first nine batters he faces, it's a good day. AA pitcher, Xavier Cedeno, was completely dominant last night and is now in the record books to prove it with his 14 k's.
In other exciting news, the Lexington Legends were involved in a brawl that had Adam Bailey and reliever Brian Steinlein (who wasn't even in the game) ejected. That's a hardcore releiver and I'm not a fan! On a side note for the Legends, Folty arguable threw his best game of his young career and showed hints of what he was drafted for. I'm not going to hit up his line, you can see that after the jump, but we'll see if this a showing of improvement or a result of extended rest from the All-Star break.
