Sunday Players of the Week are back!  I apologize that I was unable to do this last week as school got in the way but these guys made it very easy on me this week.  I'm going to be completely honest in the fact that I did not do any research to pick these guys and I doubt any of you will dispute my choices.  Well, you may pick a different pitcher, but you'll at least agree that my guy was deserving.

Hitter of the Week: Jose Altuve

This guy not only took his promotion to AA Corpus in stride, he went into an extra gear!  You usually see a guy struggle when he's promoted to the next level, especially when he leaves such a hitter's park like Lancaster.  Not even Jason Castro hit this well after he went from Lancaster to Corpus.  But this past week, Altuve went 11-26 which included five straight two-hit games.  Power you ask?  How's three doubles, two triples, and home run?  He drew one walk and struck out four times while stealing two bases and getting caught once. How's that for a hot sheet BA?

Pitcher of the Week: Dallas Keuchel

No, this is not about my man-crush!  I don't care what you say, he earned it!  In his only start this week, Keuchel went into #Beastmode!  You can read about his performance from a link in this morning link post.  But, he lasted seven scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and no walks.  Did I mention he struck out eight?  Yeah, the dude was nasty that night.  If you go by pitch count, he had tons left as I beleive he was in the 70's or 80's but it was 104 degrees that night.  Give the guy a break!
