Astros Minor League Recap

I hope you all enjoyed your Cinco De Mayo yesterday!  It wasn't the best holiday for the Astros organization as only one team (Oklahoma City) actually won yesterday.  There weren't a whole lot of big performances either.

Although, I will highlight Jonathan Meyer.  At this point, his bat is still behind, but at his age and current level that is ok.  Although, he had a multi-hit game that a home run last night.  There is a lot of projection with him but the kid is athletic and could develop.  It may take a while, but be patient.  If he hits his ceiling, it would be worth the wait.  He's very athletic which translates into good if not great defense at the hot corner.  Although, if his bat doesn't develop, its useless at third.  I like the idea of him at second base which Scouting the Sally's scouting report mentioned he had seen him take grounders at second in warm-ups.  I have no idea if that is something they are exploring.
