Alright TCBer's, the minor league recaps are back! There seemed to be a big audience for this section last season in what was a little over half a season of recaps, so we are bringing it back. I have never seen so much excitement over the minors like this past year and off-season, so hopefully this will only help fuel the fire. Although, please bare with me this season as there may be times that this section may not get posted on random mornings. With me starting Physical Therapy School this summer as well as working, my time may get a little thin. I hope the quality of this section doesn't decline because of my other obligations, but believe me when I say I will do what I can to get this out for you guys.
Well, with only one game per level done, we already have some performances to get excited about and some that will cause a slight sigh. Its only one game so don't worry guys, lets let them get get going and build up some sample sizes.
Two high ceiling pitchers struggled mightily last night. Folty and Lyles did not pitch well. They got hit around a good bit but the good news is that they both had very strong groundball rates. Folty had a 11/1 GO/FO ratio so thats awesome news. Lyles had a 7/3 ratio. Either way, if you can induce those kind of numbers, you're going to have some success. Lyles next start will be Tuesday in Nashville in which I'll be attending and will be there early to watch warm-ups and all. So, expect a write up on that at some point next week, and hopefully I'll be able to get some quality video as well.
