Hours Remain In The TCB Opening Day FanPost Contest

Good afternoon everyone. To get ready for the regular season, let's have a little contest. You see that box over to the right of the screen? The one that says "FanPost?" Some of you might know that you can use that to post articles right to this very site, just like all the drek I'm usually posting on the front page.

Well, would you like to get this shirt and more for your FanPost efforts?

That's exactly what we're offering you. Starting at midnight tonight and running through 11:59 p.m. on March 31, TCB is offering a contest for the best FanPost. You can only enter once, so make sure it's a good one. Oh, and we're not just looking for any FanPost.

This one should be on something we're all talking about: Opening Day rosters. Your post should be at least 300 words and cover three key roster decisions that the Astros have either already made or will make and how that will affect the 2011 season. The posts need to be formatted and checked for spelling and grammar errors. Any references to statistics or outside articles must be sourced either through hyperlinks or a work cited at the end of the post.

The staff here at TCB will select three finalists based on overall quality and originality of the post, and we'll put them to a community vote starting April 1. That's right, it's just like American Idol on TCB. You get to decide the winner.

What will you win, you ask? A $75 gift card to MLB.com, which, as I mentioned, can be used to buy that super-sweet Jeff Bagwell Cooperstown t-shirt. Here are the complete rules for the contest (note: don't enter before midnight tonight. Otherwise, no shirt for you!)

What are you waiting for?? Get out and start composing your shirt-winning post!
