The Offense did its part, too. In fact, tonight's win pushes our record when scoring 4+ runs to 7-2. Kaz Matsui snapped out of a seemingly season long slump to collect three hits, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Pudge Rodriguez contributed a solo home run and an RBI double off the outfield wall. Imagine what we'd be capable of doing if Lance Berkman weren't batting .167!
As the title indicates, Wandy was marvelous. Other than a first inning run, the Reds never really challenged the Astros, as the combination of Wandy and a steady supply of runs put this game out of reach fairly early.
Our longest winning streak of the season now stands at three games. Modest, as it may seem, it's a start for the Astros. We're not hitting with the same power we did at this point last season, our team BA is higher, as is our OBP. If and when the team starts hitting with regularity with RISP, things could get interesting 'round these parts rather quickly.
