Don't ask me why, but I thought of The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle right before I wrote this game recap. Maybe my brain was forcing me to think of more pleasant thoughts than Houston Astros baseball at the moment. From what I could piece together from MLB.com the past few days, the past two games have been eerily similar. Starting pitcher goes does his job. Bullpen gives up lead. Offense misses many opportunities to score runs:

The Astros are sort of like Bullwinkle the more I think about it. 2006 and 2008 were seasons where the Astros were able to piece together respectable seasons down to the last weekend in September. Damned if we knew what we were doing though. Sort of like Bullwinkle always seems to come in and save the day, even if he's stumbling around in the process. My suggestion for tonight: watch an episode or twelve of R&B. You'll thank me.
