I know, long title... so sue me. So I was wrong... the Astros did win another game this season... okay, I didn't really think they would lose out the season, but with the way they were playing... the thought had crossed my mind a couple of times. Leave it to Randy Wolf to snap the 5 game losing skid. Wolf pitched well tonight going 7 innings while allowing just 3 hits, 1 walk, 1 earned run and struck out 7. Good to see that after the pathetic run by our rotation over the last 5 games.

Nice night by Pence as well... 2-2 with 3 RBI's, a double and 2 walks. I'll take that... although I would like to give back the caught stealing. Berkman went without a hit again tonight but did manage 3 walks... hey, I'll take a .750 OBP any day.

With the win tonight, the Astros gained 1/2 game on the Wild Card lead. The Mets won tonight which moved them into the lead in the NL East, but the Phillies lost which moved them back into the lead for the Wild Card, 1/2 game behind the Mets in the East. The Marlins also won tonight keeping them tied with the Astros in 3rd place, 4.5 games back and the Brewers lost again(lost 8 of their last 10), staying in 2nd in the NL Wild card at 2 games back from the Phillies and 2.5 games ahead of the Astros/Marlins.

9 games to go!
