A meeting of two mediocre pitchers should result in a high scoring affair. So load your fantasy rosters accordingly. The rubber game should be a doozy.
Of no importance, but Backe sports a 1-0 W-L Record, on the strength of a 3.00 ERA at Wrigley. Unfortunately that is 6IP from his only start in the friendly confines -- making this absolutely useless information.
With Brocail's meltdown yesterday, I know I'm hoping that his given the rest of the week off to rest and avoid high leverage situations.
Who knows? Maybe it'll be a pitchers duel.
As we continue to fade into mediocrity my question to you becomes this:
Is fighting to eek out a .500 season worth not having been sellers at the Trade Dealine?

No, I'll cite last Thursday as the day this franchise faded into oblivion for a decade.
I'm waiting to see how we move during the offseason before I can say yes or no.
.500? We're winning the NL Central
.500? We're winning the Wild Card.
