Anyone think the Astros can repeat their 3-peat from last night of Tejada, Berkman and Lee all going back to back to back with jacks to push the Astros ahead of the Brewers in what ended up being a 7-4 victory. Roy Oswalt wasn't stellar by any means yesterday, but managed to go 6 innings and only leave the game with the lead. I'll take that any day from any starter. The pen was quite good last night with Geary, Brocail and Valverde all pitching shut out ball to give the Astros their 14th win of the season. The Astros send Brandon Backe to the hill tonight to face Manny Para of the Brewers. It looks like tonight could be a slug fest with both pitchers having high 4 ERA's. Last time out, Backe went just 5 innings and gave up 4 ER and earned the loss, while Parra went 5 1/3 innings while only giving up 2 runs, but earned a no decision.
