Neither pitcher has a very respectable record, and both pitchers have spent most of their games this season in the bull pen. Tomko is making his 14th start of the season while Albers is making his 9th. The last game Albers started he only went 4 1/3 innings giving up 5 earned runs with 3 walks and 6 strike outs. Tomko's last outing awas last week against the Reds in which he went 6 innings and gave up 3 earned runs earning the no decision.
Can't say I'm too excited about the pitching match up tonight, but it would be nice for the Astros to go off on Tomko tonight and take home another victory. Hopefully Albers can use his "great stuff" and learn some control and have an outing like we all know he can have.
9:10PM start, hopefully I can make it past the 4th inning tonight... although, me heading out in the 3rd inning last night didn't hurt the Astros from taking home the victory... so we'll see.
