Astros VS Brewers
Wandy Rodriguez VS Jeff Suppan
Wandy Rodriguez Jeff Suppan
7 - 10, 4.50(at home, 6 - 2, 1.69) 8 - 9, 4.84(on the Road, 3 - 7, 5.80)

If you take the Home VS Away stats for Wandy Rodriguez and Jeff Suppan, tonights match up should be an easy victory... Wandy is the Cy Young winner in the NL during home games and has only given up 14 runs over his 74.2 innings... Hopefully he continues this at home tonight and stops this losing skid before it actually becomes a skid.

Last nights game was hard to take. Jennings actually looked like a decent pitcher yesterday for the first couple innings... but then things returned to normal as he went 5 1/3 innings and gave up 4 earned runs. Not only does the loss suck, but it also caused us to use 7 pitchers last night in the 11 inning loss. It would be nice to breeze through tonight with an eazy victory and rest our bullpen for the early game tomorrow. I'm not a big fan of extra inning games(I like my sleep), but I can deal with them when we win... losing in an extra inning is just dreadful.

On another note, Lidge actually had a ball travel farther than the one hit by Pujols.

Two years after giving up the most infamous home run in Astros history, Lidge signed a ball for astronaut Tracy Caldwell, who took it into space on the shuttle Endeavour. Now it's orbiting more than 200 miles above Earth.

"To Tracy," the dedication read, "hopefully no one ever hits one this far off of me."
