Your hometown Houston Astros take on the hated Dodgers of LA. Okay, not exactly hated anymore, but I'm sure someone hates them... so I can still call them hated. The Astros send Matt Albers to the hill in place of injured ace Roy Oswalt. As you probably know, Roy was injured in his last start with an "upper chest injury" that doesn't sound like it's anything major, more just a tweak and some soreness. Roy will probably make his next scheduled start. The Dodgers send Derek "Yes I've pitched a no-hitter" Lowe to the hill, who has pitched well this season, but still goes into this game with a losing record.
Today marks the second game in what I am deeming the BGO Farewell tour. With Biggio announcing his retirement yesterday I'm sure there will be added promotions in the next few weeks/months in his behalf. While watching some interviews with Biggio yesterday he poked fun at Roger Clemens by saying he was 99.9% sure that he was going to retire.
If you haven't seen so already, there is a message from Biggio found here from the Houston Astros home page. Also be sure to check out the many other Biggio related topics on Astros.com.

BGO! I wonder if he can back yesterday's performance with another good game. Lane gets his 2nd start since coming back today in centerfield after going 0-2 last night with 2 walks. Walks are good, but he needs to get some hits... He's still hitting .190 on the season. It's probably good for him that he's a good defensive outfielder(and showed it last night by making ESPN's top plays of the night).
