Magic 8-ball Test

Just wanted to test the full powers of the all mighty magic 8-ball by asking a question that will get immediate answers. I've gotten a little fluff over calling out Pence(or whatever) saying he needs to step his game up, so we'll go with him as the topic for the day. So the question is... Will Hunter Pence raise his batting average in today's game against the Cardinals?

Well, the magic 8-ball has spoken.

Pence is batting .250 on the season. Shouldn't be too hard to raise that... 1 for 3 would do it, 2 for 4, 2 for 5; any of those would do it. What wouldn't do it, is a 1 for 4, 1 for 5, or an 0-fer. I think I'll go against the 8-ball in this one... although I will admit that I'm close to being on the fence. Pence is still young and after the home run last night, he may be a little over-zealous tonight in taking hacks, which could result in a big strike out day. Then again, he could use that home run to gain confidence(which he doesn't appear to be lacking) and go 3 for 4 on the day. Hopefully the latter.

Come on Pence, show us what you've got. And by the way, a 3 for 4 day today would raise Pence's average up to .320... an 0 for 4 would lower it to .219.
