BTAstro had asked for a contest about Hunter Pence, and who am I to deny such a landslide of popular opinion?
The card pictured above is a 2006 Bowman Draft Future's Game Prospects Relics card of our brightest prospect and our newest Astro. What makes it nice is that a piece of the jersey Hunter wore when he went 1 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored during last July's Futures Game has been incorporated into the card.
I bought two of these bad babies (for about ten bucks each) this afternoon; one will go directly into my ever-expanding collection, the other will be held aside and eventually mailed to the winner of our contest.
All you have to do to be that winner is come closest to--without going over--Hunter's Onbase Plus Slugging during his first major league tenure. The contest will run until the end of the year, unless Hunter is sent down, in which case it runs until his day of demotion.

Speaking of days of demotion, you may remember that the last contest we started up was concerning Wandy Rodriguez' own day of reckoning. At the time, I said that I would announce the prize at a later date. This is that date, and the prize for the contest is a 2003 Bowman Chrome Xfractor, as pictured below.

Like the Pence card, it's worth about ten bucks, though with a little less likelihood of increasing in value, if you know what I'm saying.
