Rightfielder Todd Self doubled and homered for Round Rock, while Corpus Christi shortstop Edwin Maysonet had a two-run single.
Hooks starter Josh Miller was strong, retiring 9 of 10 batters he faced. Express starter Juan Gutierrez experienced some problems, however, as Corpus exploded for three runs when nine men batted against him in the fourth.
