Spring Defensive Stats

New, 5 comments

In one of the recent threads, KE2117 had asked how many errors Everett had made this Spring, and I was surprised to see that MLB.com hasn't kept these stats posted anywhere that I could see, anyway.

So I figured I'd take a look.

Errors
Ensberg 4
Everett 4
Bruntlett 3
Biggio 3
Ransom 3
Lamb 2
Manzella 2
Berkman 2
Burke 2
Jimerson 2
Ausmus 2
Ash 1
Sellers 1
Robinson 1
Jennings 1
Lane 1
Lee 1
Munson 1

Three of Everett's errors came in the first five games, with two coming in one of them, and his last came in the game vs. Round Rock, which may not even "count," in whatever way spring stats count at all.

Double Plays
Berkman 17
Bruntlett 13
Everett 13
Loretta 12
Munson 9
Lamb 7
Biggio 6
Manzella 5
Klassen 3
Ensberg 3
Burke 3
Ransom 2
Scott 2
Gutierrez 1
Hidalgo 1
Lane 1
Conrad 1
Quintero 1
Moehler 1
Sellers. 1
Ausmus 1
Outfield Assists
Scott 2
Anderson 1
Hidalgo 1
Lane 1
Lee 1
Palmeiro 1
Pickoffs
Quintero 1
Walker 1

Of course these aren't official. They were compiled by my going through the boxscores, and are subject to the same very high likelihood of screwups that I bring to everything I do.

But they should give you an idea.
