First home game of the spring, and Roy Oz toes the slab vs. the Tigers and Jeremy Bonderman.
Speaking of Roy, I'm sure you've seen the image they're using at the main site, where Oswalt is sporting the goofy, friendly smile:
Bad look for him. Of course, if he wants to bust a gut laughing at some antic of Lance's, that's fine, who are we to stop him, but the whole posed, fan-friendly, milquetoast non-threatening grin thing just doesn't work for me, and I think most fans would agree. We expect to see our ace with a scowl permanently affixed to his face, or at the very mildest, a neutral look of determination.
Nice guys don't win 22 games and flash an ERA under 3.00 . . .
While Carlos Lee and Brad Ausmus will not join in today, our other favorite veterans, Lance Berkman and Craig Biggio, will. I always thought it was at the end of the spring where veterans stopped making trips; evidently, it's at the beginning, now, too.
