Peavy is unanimous, and rightly so, but I'm surprised Brandon Webb wasn't the unanimous second-place pick.

Like I was talking a few weeks back, Webb was tied for second in the league in wins, finished second in the league in ERA, finished second in the league in Average Game Score, and finished third in Opponent's OPS.

It really seemed open and shut to me, yet somehow three voters left Brandon off their ballot entirely. To each his own, but you can't invoke park effects here: the BOB is one of the most offensively-oriented ballparks in baseball.

The third pitcher on my ballot had been Chris Young, who led the league in OPS against, while finishing second in WHIP.

I don't think Penny is a terrible third-place pick, as he did finish third in the league in ERA, but if you had something against Young (the park he pitches in, maybe?), I would have gone with Harang, or even the hated Z.
