Matchup/Game Thread Game # 31 at Rockies 2:05 CST

Fernando Nieve Aaron Cook
1 - 0, 4.74 2 - 3, 3.76

Like Wandy's body language so eloquently says, you can't worry about it, ya gotta move on.

But everyone (and this does include myself) who thought that the Burke start in right was looking for trouble, please take a bow.

As you know there's not much super about Super Joe these days, and the hope is that Burke can be back in exactly fifteen days.

In the interim, we'll see us some more Bruntlett . . . .

Not much to say about the pitching matchup. Fernando continues his introductory tour about the National League, and Cook has a grand total of 26 batters faced against the Astros.

Berkman is 3 for 4 off Cook, with 3 walks, Ausmus 1 for 5 with a double.

I guess the strangest thing about Cook is that he's 0 - 3 in Denver this year with a 3.00 ERA, but 2 - 0 on the road with a 4.58. Here's hoping he pitches like he's on the road, but gets the results he's used to at home.

And Nieve? I'm liking his 16:5 strikeout to walk ratio.
