After all the brouhaha about Clemens and all the hullabaloo about Bagwell that have hijacked the taglines on the 2006 spring campaign, with less than two weeks left before Opening Day, it seems people are starting to focus on the battle for the fourth and fifth slots.
And focus is good.
While Drayton was in the radio booth with Raymond and Brown solving the outfield during yesterday's Tigers game, Purpura had appeared on the pregame show and suggested that the four slot is Wandy's to lose.
And so too suggests John Lopez in his column today. I still think Zeke'll be number five--til Roger comes home, anyway--but Lopez has an intriguing idea that Zeke should do long relief.
Oh, and Go Japan!
