Boy, I'm glad I'm not Phil Garner. In addition to performing his grueling psychiatric duties for the team, he's got to figure out how to put together a lineup against a lefty, when only five position players on the team have cumulative averages over .200 against southpaws. You can start with the five guys above, and maybe throw in Taveras 'cause he comes in against lefties at precisely the Mendoza Line, but what do you do after that?
Berkman at .188 or Palmeiro at .182?
Maybe get Bruntlett in at short, because his .182 trumps Adam Everett's .143.
Yeah, a guy who can't win with a lineup like this shouldn't be managing. It's gotta be Garner's fault.
