Cumulative Linescore At The Break
Interesting, though meaningless, that we have exactly half as many runs as hits at the break.

Matt Holliday
So Hunter Pence leads the NL in hitting at the break.
Wonder if an Astro has ever done that?

So I Pull Into My Parking Spot At Work
Greenie says something like, "they brought him up a month into the season and he hasn't stopped hitting since."
I think you'd have to be naive to think that such a mention doesn't help Pence as he builds his Rookie of the Year case. It's all name recongition, and now the newspaper guy spending all his time covering the Indians, or the Twins, has heard the name "Pence" in a national context.
And all because Matt Holliday couldn't muster a hit in his final two at bats yesterday . . . .,
