Fresno Bats Go Off in 15-10 Win
This is the perfect example as to why the "Win" stat for pitchers is one of the most ludicrous stats in baseball. Asher Wojciechowski got the "win" but allowed six runs runs in five innings. Thats a bad night. The offense had his back though. Only two of the starting nine batters didn't have a multi-hit game. Jon Singleton launched his first home run...maybe he's motivated by not winning the 1B job when he was given every chance. A.J. Reed hit two doubles.

Errors Doom Hooks in 2-1 Loss
Joe Musgrove is a tough act to follow, but David Paulino did his best and pitched very well. Allowing just three hits and one walk across five innings is good pitching. The downside is that when he has just one run of run support, he had to be perfect. And to an extent he was. He gave up one run but it was unearned. There were two errors for the Hooks and both ended up leading to runs. Teoscar Hernanez committed a fielding error and Alex Bregman committed a throwing error.

Lancaster Suspended After Four Due to Rain
Fast Rising Prospect Abreu Impresses in QC 6-2 Loss
One of the fast rising pitching prospects in the system is Albert Abreu thanks to an electric fastball that wowed scouts and shot him up several lists. Due to the lack of information on him, he didn't rate highly on the TCB list but he is becoming a well-known prospect. In his full-season debut, he allowed two unearned runs and only three base runners (one by error). But, it was the four wild pitches in the seventh inning that doomed him as they allowed for two base runners to circle the bases. If you take that away, seven of his eight outs came via a strikeout. I don't have to tell you....but that's dirty.
