Back to the Future II predicted the Cubs would win the World Series in 2015. The Astros triple-a affiliate, the Fresno Grizzlies wants to go one step further and join Sports Illustrated in naming the Astros the 2017 champ:

The Fresno Grizzlies will take on the New Orleans Zephyrs on August 15 for Back to the Future night. The Grizzlies will don DeLorean themed uniforms complete with flux capacitors on the back. They are spectacular, even better than the rings.
Some may see this as arrogant, others may see it as brilliant. For me personally, this hits on the best part of minor promotions - it's fun. The Fresno Grizzlies have spent the past 19 seasons with the recent three-time champion San Francisco Giants, and they are betting the Astros will continue the championship trend in Fresno. If doesn't work out, we can say another team went back to the future and changed history.
Welp, I guess the TCB staff is making a trip up to Fresno.
UPDATE:
It appears the Astros or Grizzlies have changed their mind about the promotion.
UPDATE There will be NO Astros 2017 WS ring giveaway on Aug 15th by the @FresnoGrizzlies

Statement from GM Derek Franks: "We do not want a Fresno Grizzlies giveaway to be perceived as a jinx for our Major League affiliate."
