Carlos Gomez returns back to the Astros starting lineup for the first time this series. This is his first start since Tuesday's Wild Card game against the Yankees, where he was 1-3 with an RBI and a run scored. In the first two games of the Division Series he was utilized as a pinch runner and was caught stealing in the 9th inning of a 5-4 loss in Kansas City on Friday. Gomez's status in the starting lineup has been in flux ever since he received an intercoastal strain in Arlington a month ago.
Aside from that, the Astros lineup remains largely the same with Jason Castro receiving the pitches for Dallas Keuchel and Colby Rasmus hoping to continue his incredible October tear in left.
Meanwhile the Royals lineup remains static with the Ghost of Prospects Past Ben Zobrist in the two-hole and Kendrys Morales in the designated hitter spot.
