If you frequent other SB Nation baseball sites, you might have seen talk of a new partnership for daily fantasy baseball. SB Nation and FanDuel are in an exclusive partnership, so you'll be seeing more mentions of them around here.
What's daily fantasy baseball? Well, it's very similar to the "Pick 6" game they ran on SB Nation a few years back and takes MLB's streak game a step further. You pick a set lineup of players, with a salary cap, and are scored based on their performance in that one day. If you score high enough for whatever group you enter, you can win some money.
Here's a video on how to play:
Contest rules are listed here. Unfortunately, those of you living in AZ, IA, LA, MN, WA cannot play for money. But, there are plenty of free leagues offered by FanDuel you can participate in instead.
The great thing about daily fantasy games is that if you don't have a ton of time to manage them, you don't have to play every day. Just pop in when you have time and give your night of baseball some extra stakes.
FanDuel gave me some money to play around with the game and I'm impressed at its ease of use, both in finding leagues and setting lineups. There's plenty of information handy to set lineups. Though this is a sponsored post, the opinions are all mine.
The neat thing about this partnership is that we've got some dedicated leagues just for SB Nation writers and readers. You can see that game, which is a daily one with $3,000 in prizes, here. Go ahead, compete against each other and the best of the best. I want a TCBer to take first prize in this thing before 2017.
