It's been a whole week since the Astros won a game. The weight of each loss grows with each passing. The natives are restless, press is restless, and I would imagine the ownership is restless.
Garrett Richards is the cause for the continued unrest. Richard allowed one run over 7.1 innings, scattering six hits, walking one, and striking out 11. The Astros were able to reach base seven times against Richards in game, only one was able to get past second base. He is now has a 2-1 record against the Astros this season with a 2.70 ERA in 20 innings.
Collin McHugh struggled all game, lasting only four innings - allowing three runs on four hits and two walks. David Martinez did solid work as the long man - pitching three innings, allowing two hits, and four strikeouts. He did give up one run on a Kole Colhaun home run. Chad Qualls failed to retire the first three batters his faced in the eighth, and would be replaced by Anthony Bass after giving up a run on a fielder's choice.
This is much more to say, the Angels out pitched and hit the Astros. Houston hopes to right the ship with a trip to Arlington, Cosart vs. Mikolas at 7:05 PM CT.
