RP Patrick Urckfitz: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K
RP Richard Rodriguez: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K
The ten punch outs are nice, the five walks not so much. I will say that four of the five game in one bad inning (the third) where he allowed all three of the runs he gave up; outside that inning, he was essentially lights out.
Tucker isn't hitting much recently (.222 over his last ten games), but I'm happy to see him taking some walks; he has five in his last seven games, after walking just 13 times in the previous 34 games.
Perez continues to hit as well; he's slashing .333/.436/.455 during his last ten games, with a double and a homer. This hot month has him up to a passable .260/.325/.386 line on the season.

Corpus scored one in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game and send it to extras, and then walked off in the tenth. The walk-off hit was the DeShields solo shot to lead off the inning. Boom.
Great walk off win tonight! So fun to be a part of it. @LinoDeShields is clutch. Don't sleep on the hooks
— Tyler Heineman (@theineman13) July 29, 2014
Speaking of DeShields, check it out, he's hitting .290/.395/.581 with just five strike outs. Keep it up, D3.
Over his last ten games, Cruz has a 3.29 ERA, 1.04 BB/9 and 8.48 K/9 over 52 innings.

SP Vincent Velasquez: 5.0 IP, 2 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 K (win)
RP Josh Hader: 4.0 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 6 K (save)
He's baaaaaack! Velasquez's first start since May 9, and it went pretty darn well. He got seven outs on the ground as well, to just four in the air. 3.00 ERA, 2.73 BB/9 and 9.55 K/9 on the year after this outing.
And then they paired him up with Hader. God help the opposition every fifth day against this team (though recent front office quotes make me believe Hader could move to Corpus sometime after the trade deadline). What can I say? Hader gonna...I don't know how to turn that into something witty that makes sense. He was good, that's the point! He hasn't allowed a run in his last three starts. On the season, he sits with a 2.36 ERA, 3.09 BB/9 and 10.09 K/9 in 99 innings of work.
A- Quad Cities River Bandits: 4-3 win over Bowling Green (TBR)
-> Chase McDonald: 3-for-4, HR, RBI, 2 R
-> J.D. Davis: 3-for-4
-> Thomas Lindauer: 1-for-3, BB, 2B
-> A.J. Reed: 1-for-4, HR, R, 2 RBI
-> Brett Phillips: 1-for-4, solo HR
-> Brian Holberton: 1-for-4
-> Dayne Parker: 0-for-3, BB
SP Adrian Houser: 5.0 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 2 BB, 2 K (win)
RP Kevin Comer: 4.0 IP, 0 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 3 K (save)
McDonald is on fire. This is pretty cool; knowing that Anthony Boyer was fairly high on him pre-season, I kept watching him all year, but he was never able to put something together for more than a few days, and there was never any power. Now he's hitting .358/.441/.642 in 23 games this July. He has five homers this month, after hitting just five in the first three months combined.
Davis has nine hits in the last three games, two of which are doubles. He's limited himself to six strike outs in his last eight games, and he's hitting .395/.442/.500 over his last ten.
Three homers in as many days for Phillips. That gives him 10 on the season. With his 19 doubles and 12 triples, he's the only player in the entire league to have double-digit totals in all three categories. He also has 18 steals, though with 10 CS, he needs to work on that area still.
SS Tri-City ValleyCats: 1-0 win over Aberdeen (BAL)
-> Mott Hyde: 1-for-3, 2B
-> Jose Solano: 1-for-3, BB, R
-> Derek Fisher: 1-for-4
-> Terrell Joyce: 1-for-4
-> Ricky Gingras: 1-for-4
-> Alex Hernandez: 0-for-2, 2 BB
-> Bobby Boyd: 0-for-2, BB, RBI
-> Nick Tanielu: 0-for-2, BB
SP Troy Scribner: 7.0 IP, 0 ER, 3 H, 2 BB, 7 K (win)
RP Jeffrey Gause: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 2 K (hold)
RP Jordan Mills: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 2 K (save)
Scribner (his brother is in the A's bullpen and pitched last night, remember?) has flat-out dominated the NYPL so far. He owns a 0.77 ERA, 2.30 BB/9 and 10.92 K/9 in 47 innings. His ERA there didn't look good last year, but it was some small sample smoke and mirrors; his strike out and walk rate were very good. Wonder when or if he'll get a shot in full-season ball this year.
Fisher has played 21 games now, and has at least one hit in 19 of them, and a walk in another. In other words, he's safely reached in 95% of his professional games. That's just a bonkers first month.
First scoreless outing for Gause since he was drafted. His strike out numbers have been good, but he's had trouble with walks and he was injured for a while.

Martin has tailed off, and has gone hitless in his last five straight games. He has six walks in those five games, though. I love seeing such young prospects show the ability to stay in the games and contribute even when the hits aren't coming. It's easy to get impatient and feel the pressure and start getting stupid. But six walks and just three strike outs in those hitless games? That's impressive to me.
Marte is hitting .303/.340/.414 on the season.
