Houston, we have a problem. Although, it's a good problem to have. We have middle infield depth up the wazoo. I think we are all for-seeing a possible log jam in the coming years, including this season. As you all know, we have Villar at SS in the bigs. He is struggling. We have Altuve, who is the starter for life at 2B. We've got Marwin as the swing guy, who is doing a decent job. Then, at AAA we have Petit, Hernandez, and Torreyes who are all hovering around .300. At AA, we have Fontana, who has an OBP well over .400. So he stands out. Then you have Mier, who is lagging behind so far. Obviously, we all know Correa and Kemp are showing that they deserve a call-up to Corpus. Yikes, we have a dilemma. What do we do? I can see a few routes we could take. But they're are many questions. Do we send down a struggling Villar and make Marwin the everyday SS in his absence? If we do that do we promote Petit, Hernandez, or Torreyes to be the utility guy at the big club? What about the A+/AA dilemma? Do we promote Fontana to AAA to play everyday and release Mier, so Correa and Kemp can be called up to CC at the same time? Do we stand pat, as is? If y'all were GM, what would you do?
