I have enjoyed the recent posts on journalism quiet a lot. However, all the discussion still reminds me of a section from "The Mystery of Marie Roget" by Edgar Allen Poe:
"We should bear in mind that, in general, it is the object of our newspapers rather to create sensation - to make a point - than to further the cause of truth. The latter end is only pursued when it seems coincident with the former."
Which of course reminds me of another quote: "The more things change, the more they stay the same..."
