My first MLB park was the Astrodome. Saw Nolan Ryan and Joe Niekro pitch against the Mets in '86. Neikro won, Ryan lost.
Went to Old Commiskey in Chicago next. Saw Carlton Fisk hit a home run.
Next went to Candlestick. Saw Barry Bonds pre-HR chase days.
Then Arizona, the new ballpark in SF where I saw Bonds hit #571 then Minute Maid.
Next was was new Mets park, and last was Ballpark at Arlington weekend before last. I don't keep up with naming rights to stadiums.
This summer may hit Wrigley.
Next year may take road trip with my son to KC and StL.
I've been to 8 MLB parks and 3 that are either gone or are about to be gone.
I may be biased, but I like MInute Maid the best! Worst was Old Commisky. It was dank and cramped, but it was cool to be in the place where guys like Shoeless Joe played.
Where have you been?
