George Springer's first major league hit goes 20 feet in front of home plate.

George Springer is in the majors now. It didn't take long for him to get his first major league hit. After being robbed by Royals' shortstop Alcides Escobar in his first at-bat, he fought off a pitch for an infield single in his second at-bat. Of course, Tim has the gif for your viewing pleasure -

It may have only gone twenty feet, but look at Springer fly!  He wasn't on base paths long, so we didn't have a chance to see Springer try to steal a base. On cue, Jason Castro was up next and drove Springer in with a homerun to left-center. The Astros Analysis account had some stats about the two hits -
