Astros hire New York-based writer to be their new Social Media guru, hitting a home run in the process.

Good news for Astros fans on social media. Houston is finally filling a position left vacant since Kelly George stepped down early last season when they announced that Amanda Rykoff will be their new Social Media Manager.

Rykoff comes to the Astros from multiple places, including ESPNw, Awful Announcing, Sports on Earth and more. Here's a piece from her on Awful Announcing about TBS' handling of the 2013 Pittsburgh Pirates emotional first playoff game.
