Preview

A favorite quote of mine seems appropriate when thinking of the Astros over the last two games - "Some men just want to watch the world burn." A cycle and 6 1/3 innings of no hits will not prevent the Astros from losing. Now for the icing on the cake, King Felix takes the mound in Houston.

Hernandez has rounded into his normal all-star form over his last four starts, holding teams to two runs over less and going at least six inning in each game. In his one start against the Astros, he pitched six scoreless innings and struck out nine back in April. Jason Castro is batting 1.000 against King Felix with two doubles and a walk.

Jordan Lyles is hoping to right the ship in the second half of the season. Lyles has given up fours runs or more in three of his last four starts. In his previous start against Seattle this season, Lyles did not allow a run to score over seven innings and struck out ten. The only Mariners players with any previous success against Lyles, Endy Chavez and Michael Morse, are both nursing injuries at the moment.
