All right, double digit in the win column! The Astros are back on par with the Marlins. Only eleven games back of the Rangers with 128 games left to play - next stop AL West champions. It could happen, right? Most likely not, but Astros fans will take what they can get. A sweep of the Angels, would be a nice reprieve from the race for the number one pick.

Lucas Harrell takes the ball in the finale of the series with the Angels. Harrell has been excellent thus far in 2013 season, except for two starts. Both starts resulted in 8 runs over 4 1/3 innings. His most recent start against the Tigers was one of the games Harrell got roughed up. Harrell got worked over by the reigning AL MVP, Miguel Cabrera, so he isn't alone in that aspect. I don't necessary expect a bounce back; Harrell currently has an ERA of 6.59 at home.

Jason Vargas is the one man that stands the way of the Angels pressing the panic button until it breaks. Vargas was part of the rare trade within the same division; he left the pitcher-friendly Safeco for Angel Stadium of Anaheim. After a slight bump in the road to start the season, Vargas has been exactly what the doctor ordered for Los Angeles. Over his past three starts, Vargas has pitched 24 innings and given up only 5 runs. This includes a complete game shutout of Baltimore in his last start. The heart of the Astros lineup, Carlos Pena and Chris Carter, are a collective 1 for 21 against Vargas. Should be interesting to see if the Astros pull this out.
