With this being a weak draft at the top in some peoples eyes say at number 1 the Astros take the guy with the biggest upside in their minds but who also might be a problem to sign like Mark Appel was last year. Then if the Astros are unable to reach a deal they will get the number 2 pick in 2014 as compensation correct? With them looking to probably be historically bad this year that could set them up to have the number 1 and 2 picks in the 2014 draft. Is the 2014 draft strong enough that this is something that should cross their minds?
