Jonathan Gray making a bid to become the number one pick

“I’ve been in college baseball for 21 years and I’ve never seen a guy that just goes outing after outing and dominant like he has,” said head coach Sunny Golloway.

“I keep telling myself he’s not a professional pitcher, he’s just an amateur and that he’s going to have some bumps in the road. But he hasn’t had many bumps yet.”

Gray threw another dominant complete game Thursday night. He threw a 2 hitter with 12 strikeouts in the win over Kansas. In his last 4 starts he is 3 and 0. In 34 innings he has 44 strikeouts with only 2 walks.

I am getting the feeling that Gray is going to be an Astro and he will go number one.
