An interesting debate

I'm having a debate with one of my good friends about baseball fans. Specifically, Cardinals fans. He's a huge St Louis fan. We're debating whether or not all fanbases of winning franchises, like St Louis, generally have more cocky fans.

I've noticed that Cardinals fans (at least the ones I've encountered) are generally really cocky. I think this is just because St Louis has had a winning team for so long. I think that when a fanbase is used to winning, they naturally become cockier than a fanbase of a normal franchise. Simple enough, it makes sense.

His opinion is the exact opposite. He thinks that even though St Louis is a winning franchise, because their fans are known to be the best in sports, are not very cocky at all.

What do you think? I'm going to post this on St Louis's page, as well. I'm interested to see what they think.
