Nobody has posted this yet. I'm not a BA subscriber so I can't see the scouting report. Still, interesting to see where players measure. Some guys got ranked for leagues where they spent little time (eg. Puig), and others are double ranked (Buxton #1 ranked in two leagues). With that said:
GCL: nobody
Appy: nobody
NY Penn: #3 - Michael Feliz
Midwest League: #2 Correa; # 5 McCullers; #12 Velasquez
California Leauge: #4: DDJ
Texas: #1 Springer; #2: Folty; #6: Santana
PCL: #3: Springer; #11: Cosart; #13: Singleton; #19: Villar
A few observations:
- BA keeps its reputation as toolsy in evaluation: most of us would have DDJ and Folty lower, and would want Tucker and Ruiz ranked for their bats. Those guys don't get rave reviews for arm, speed, or defense
- Singleton not very toolsy, but took a huge hit this year nonetheless
- AA rankings spread out more, with three leagues and only 8 teams in the Texas League. Still, gotta feel good about Santana being ranked #6
- Biggest omissions from a homer: Ruiz, Aplin, Tucker, Wojo
