I still believe we need to trade Lowrie while teams are asking for him. If he goes down again this season we will never get a decent return.

StLouis should be in contention again this season but has a big hole at 2B. Jed Lowrie could give them an elite 2B who can hit for power and is already a great SS defensively and would be just as good or better at the 2 bag.

I believe we can get Adam Craig, Carlos Martinez, and Michael Wacha from them in return.

Craig has 30-40 HR power and can immediately take over the DH spot for years to come.

Carlos Martinez is constantly called "little Pedro". He has front of the rotation stuff and his fastball easily reaches the upper 90s.

Wacha is projected to be a John Garland type pitcher. Big durable and can eat up innings, but they've also been using him out of the pen as a closer which I think he will excel at. Either way a great addition to our farm system.

In the mean time we have Marwin Gonzalez, Jake Elmore, and Tyler Greene who can play SS, not to mention Villar who is also on our 40 man roster.

I know the front office keeps saying we arent trading him but I dont buy it. We have 4 other SS's on our 40 man roster and I dont believe thats coincidence.
