2013 roster considerations

So after watching as many of these games debacles as I can while reminding myself it can only get better from here, I kind of started looking at our current roster. Looking at it I started thinking about what I would like to see on and off our roster for 2013.

My biggest debate is at the closer position, where part of me would love to move Norris there, however he has had some quality starts where he has shown some awesome skills. If he doesnt close I am unsure of who to hand it to in the 9th because as much as I like Wilton, he just doesn't appear to be closer material. It will definately be a connundrum the rest of the year and all offseason. Lets click on the jump and flame me discuss my ideas of the roster.

First lets say good bye to some players and thank them for their years of service.

1. Matt Downs - You provided us with some good moments, but not the consistency we need out of an every day player best of luck on the open market.

2. Chuckie Fick - Some pitchers are just not Big league material, best of luck

3. Fernando Abad - same as above however you really need to work on consistently locating your pitches you cant make 2 unhittable pitches and then right in their wheelhouse on the 3rd. Best of luck

4. Xavier Cedeno - see chuckie Fick

5. Enerio de Rosario - Sorry

6. Fernando Martinez - We gave you a look and it just didn't work out

7. Jordan Schafer - get out

8. Scott Moore - Id keep him as a reserve but if Wallace can man 3B enough to spell a starter then I feel Moore has little value.

As much as I would like to cut deeper in the bullpen, the anger blurs my vision on who they want to keep so Ill stop there at cuts. Ok here goes my roster

C - Jason Castro - Coporan

1B - Brett Wallace - Mark Hessman

2B - Jose Altuve - Tyler Greene

SS - Jed Lowrie - Marwin Gonzalez

3B - Matt Dominguez - Brett Wallace

RF - Justin Maxwell - Brian Bogusevic

CF - Jimmy Paredes - Brandon Barnes

LF - JD Martinez

DH - Snyder - Hessman - Wallace

Rotation

SP1 - Lucas Harrell

SP2 - Jordan Lyles

SP3 - Bud Norris

SP4 - Dallas Keuchel

SP5 - Kyle Weiland

Possibles Edgar Gonzalez, Rudy Owens, Brett Oberholtzer

Pen

LR /spot start - Rudy Owens or Keuchel if beaten at rotation spot

BP arm Rhiner Cruz - if he can master control, closer role

Loogy - Wesley Wright

BP arm Ambriz

7th inning Mickey Storey

Setup Wilton Lopez

Closer Jose Valdez

Sprinkle in your thoughts, I would like to see springer and singleton start the season and rake in triple A before I start bringing them up.
