Minor League Playoff Thread. ENJOY.

Welp, it's game 2 for both the Hooks, and the Jethawks. Both games are must wins, literally for Lancaster, and figuratively for the Hooks.
Tonight the Corpus Christi Hooks play Frisco in game 2 of the South Division Championship, which they really need to win, in order to have a good chance to go the championship series. And the Jethawks are playing game 2 of their series, which is must win, or else they're done. We shall discuss!!

Also, as you all know, MLB.com released the Astros' poorly put together top-20 list. I'm not discussing it, 'cause frankly, I don't really care about ratings.

Anyways, Rob Rasmussen is on da bump for CC, and NiTro for Lancaster.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Rob Rasmussen: 7 IP, 5 hits, 0 runs, 3 BB(1 IBB), 2 k's - GS-66

NiTro: 6 IP, 3 hits, 1 run(earned), 2 walks, 6 k's - GS-66

Hooks lead 2-0! Austin Wates hit an rbi single, and Simunic hit an rbi triple! GOOD JOB, GUYS! Holy crap, it's 2-1 after an rbi double. Bottom 8.

UGHhhhhhh, I don't want to update it, but I need to. Hooks game is tied after an rbi single to RF. Defense has opened up more opportunities.

HOOKS LOSE.

Lancaster is currently tied 1-1, thanks to NiTro's pitching and a little defensive help from LE. BRING HOME THE DUBBYA.

Lancaster wins 5-1!! Erik Castro had an epic, 10 pitch at-bat and hit a 2-rbi double to give Lancaster the lead in the 8th inning. The double was followed by a 2-run homer off the bat of Jonathan Meyer to give live Lancaster the 5-1 advantage. Kenny Long recorded the last out by striking out a lefty, of course. Lefty's are now 1-45 off K-Long this year; they're batting .022 off him this season. Not too bad.

The Jethawks shall play game 3 tomorrow and win. Same with CC. If Corpus doesn't win, well, you won't hear from me for awhile. I'll be in a depressing mood for a little bit; I can't stand losing, so this one could take a toll on me.

Greg Rajan's tweet:

Just ran into CEO on the concourse in Frisco. He's very upbeat about the turnout they'll have tomorrow in Corpus.
