Astros have set a press conference for Thursday morning and Ken Rosenthal is reporting that Nationals third base coach Bo Porter has been named the new manager.
Late Wednesday night, Brian McTaggart tweeted out that the Astros will be having a press conference that will involve Jim Crane.
#Astros are having a press conference at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Minute Maid Park.
Early rumors are that this will be involving announcing their decision on the managerial search.
All we've heard in regards of the Astros new manager is that there were a ton of names and a ton of qualities. Jeff Luhnow and company have kept things very close to the chest in their search and have used every possible influence you can think of, including owner Jim Crane and Houston Legends Craig Biggio and Brad Ausmus.
There were a few names that were leaked early in the process and those names included Tim Bogar, Bo Porter, and Dave Martinez. Heck, even our good friend AstrosCounty had the scoop early that Ausmus interviewed for the job.
Well, just a few minutes after Tags tweet, we get hit another interesting tweet.
