So I saw a story on SB Nation about they thought moving Tampa Bay Rays to Montreal and that brought up some questions for me.
1 - Did Crane and company put an option for moving Houston back to the NL if baseball expanded. To me this makes way to much sense, considering we were forced at gunpoint and a pittance to move to the AL.
2 - Adding 2 more teams would create equal leagues and wouldn't have this crazy schedule with us always have to play a cross league team. If we did add 2 more teams (hopefully both going to the AL and we moving back to the NL) it would give us 2 - eight team divisions in each league. The get to the playoffs they could take the two 2 teams from each division and then 2 Wild Cards or top 2 and 4 wild cards.
3 - About the move to the AL, Selig just had so many opportunities to do this but instead waited until the last minute and bullied us into doing this by holding the new owner situation over our heads. He had the Montreal Expos when MLB owned them to move to a west coast city instead of Washington. Also had the Marlins/Rockies and more recently Diamondbacks/Rays. Excuses are like A**holes they stink and no one likes them, just like you Selig.
Just think if we would have had Luhnow before the 2011 draft how much difference would we have seen with our minors; makes me sad/mad thinking about it.
What say you, Astro's fans? Sorry about some of the venting.
