I feel like sparking a debate so here goes --

This is Heck’s last chance. I hope we do take Buxton, a. Because he’s the BPA and b. Because if he doesnt make it as a hitter, we can switch him to the mound. But we have to nail it.

Most of Heck’s 1st rounders and even 2nd and 3rd rounders dont look so great. Springer has ridiculous potential but he desperately needs to cut down his K’s. Lyles was a good grab, but man, we skipped up some real talent these past years for org depth and slot guys.

Off the top of my head – TROUT 09 – Read an article that siad a BUNCH of teams were in on him, had no mention of Astros, seems like we were zeroed in on middle infield and sorryass Mier (who yes I know showed some signs of life recently, but cmon man)… (sigh) WILL MYERS- 09 Yes, we could have had him but we took freaking Tanner Bushue. Awesome job there. SALE and SALE – 10 (DDJ really needs to get that OBP and avg and power going soon – I said at that time he looks like Eric Young Jr. / CASTELLANOS – Wouldnt that be f***** NICE to have him as a future 3B right now? But no we took gag, vomit Kvasinacka – A big fat, hearty, Screw you to Tal Smith for that one – however, Heck presides over the scouting. This is all his fault. We must have had some old, past their prime area scouts like Rusty Pendergrass – hopefully they have been replaced or are not relied on as much anymore.

I know quite a few of you will defend Heck, and still Wade (for some reason) so I say bring it. The fact of the matter is our very best prospects were obtained via trade. Bud nOrris and Chris Johnson look like pretty nice finds from the Tim Purpura era as well, and Hunter Pence another find before Wade, got us our best prospect. I hope Lunhow turns this ship around.
