I guess this is a good news, bad news situation. Kyle Weiland going on the disabled list with what Brian McTaggart tweeted as shoulder bursitis, is not a good thing, but might not be anything to worry about. Bud Norris dealt with this last year along with a biceps/shoulder tendinitis, and seemed to come back after his stint on the DL.

it'll be interesting to see who the Astros call-up to take his place in the rotation, because I doubt they plan on having Abad make a spot start.

Abad in 7.1 innings at Oklahoma City he has yet to allow a run striking out 14.7 per nine innings, and walked 2.5 per nine.

The good news is that Marwin Gonzalez and his wife are having a baby. Congratulations to him and his family!

Replacing Gonzalez is Brian Bixler who has been on fire in OKC batting, .423/.483/.635 in 58 plate appearances. Maybe he should get a start at third while he's up?
